Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
FFVII PSN
FFVII: Advent Children with FFXIII demo (exclusive in Japan)
and you can bet they have used him to promote Dissidia too
so for Japan you could make a case for Cloud for sure
he has been a strong promoter of PlayStation ever since the release of the game in 1997
and has been used for general PlayStation promotion, not only FF related
but it's third party so Sony can't use it whenever they want to,
and you can't use Cloud for ever
but outside of Japan
Sony doesn't have a real mascot
