Why we like the PSP Go! and want it to succeed

You don't even have to have a disc in your UMD to play your games on the original PSP. Its loss is simply the loss of the option to use any physical media. It has never been required, and indeed, most use the UMD as a backup for their memory cards.

I didn't like the UMD because it was one of the main contributing factors to the psp being too big and heavy for a handheld console. Not exactly something I could put in my pocket without needing a good belt. The DS was a better design because it was smaller, lighter and didn't have a noisy energy consuming motor for spinning disks.

 

But now with the psp go they've fixed those issues : )
