Harry Potter will not be bigger. Remember, only one Harry Potter film made over $300 million domestically. The rest were below that. Transformers 1 made $319 million, and it's sequel is about to overdo that within the week. That's my logic.
Now, if you're talking worldwide, you may be right. Harry Potter is massive in Europe and elsewhere, so it could do great. But Transformers 1 made $700 million worldwide, and the sequel is catching up fast there too, so it will be a close fight.
