Kantor is correct.... the game will have exceeded 10 million, old games like that on VGC take their sales figures form things like shipped numbers, it is just not a priority for ioi to go through the whole database updating all the old games (though GT4 being so high profile it might be an idea to do that one)
It might not have quite reached the full shipment figure, as a small number of games go unsold, or are broken in transit (unlikely) or are sold back to the supplier if they don't sell. GT4 will be as close as you can imagine to the shipment figure though... at maximum there might be 10k/20k still sitting around.
