This was a horrible film. Not a "good action movie"--I've seen good action movies. I love good action movies. This was a crap action movie, worse than Pearl Harbor (!). ID4 was Shakespearian compared to this. I'd rather see another Matrix sequel than watch this again.
Why so bad? Along with all of this film's many other sins ("plot," characters, dialogue, etc.), it was freaking boring. Not only was the original Transformers cartoon more intelligent than this steaming load, the action sequences were better; you actually knew who was who and cared about some of the characters. The opening battle scene from the cartoon movie is better than this entire film.
