UK high sales for 360 are explained by the fact that it's dirty cheap to buy one in the UK for other EU residents... just go look at amazon UK and then a counterpart in EU....
I don't think there is much else to this. The Wii in the UK is still close in price to the rest of EU, the HD consoles however are cheap.
