You're asking a really obvious question here.

PC's gaming userbase is 300 millions, according to recent studies. PC is a whole different fish because only slightly more than half the revenue goes to buying games, while the rest is spent on subscription, microtransactions, etc... also there's far more competition on PC than on consoles: There are more PC games being developed than in all consoles combined. So it's even harder for a PC game to break through a huge barrier like 10 millions.

But forget PC. What about comparing Wii vs X360 and PS3? Sure Wii has a bigger installed base, but isn't the PS360 base supposed to have a more hardcore and informed userbase? And I'm sure that there's much more ad push for PS360 games than Wii games.

And PSP? Even with such a big installed base, why is there no game even reaching anywhere near 10 millions?
