I reckon no because:

(a) primarily, a different genre with the Halo branding would get more sales - a TPS with Gears elements or a sandbox with Crackdown elements, for example, would for sure hit 2.5mil.

(b) and... what could you really do new in HW2 that would make it a substantial step forward?

This said, however, if Microsoft could get Robot w/ a few MS Game Studios employees to knock out a sequel on a small budget, then it would definitely be worth it, since even an unambitious sequel would break 1mil and thus, on a small budget, be pleasantly profitable.

So, lol, I guess maybe also 'yes' then. Who knows? XD

I don't get what your getting at...the Halo Wars Game already turned over 1 million....I doubt it has not turned a profit....MS can Easily judge for them selves based on the online traffic and DLC downloads when A sequal should hit ...You act like this game was called Ninja Blade

Huh?

I didn't say that HW hadn't turned a profit.

I'm saying that a Halo name in a more popular genre, say TPS or sandbox, might be a more profitable future venture than a HW sequel, but that perhaps they will do a Halo name in a more popular genre and then also keep a small team with a modest budget working on a HW sequel because then even if that only crawled to 1mil LTD (due to being unambitious/not much of an update or step forward) the conditions of light staff & budget would guarantee profit; big profit from the primary venture plus small profit from an unambitious HW sequel > medium profit from a normal HW sequel.
