i think my grandmother had a lot of issues when she was younger, and treated my mumma quite badly.. they always had a turbulent relationship. i dunno, i was only 4 the last time i saw her. but i remembered it really clearly. it always bugged me, then when my ex-boyfriend's granny died (i knew her for 5 years) i thought it was stupid to not see mine, even though my mum didnt want me to. so i went to see her anyway, and told my mum when i got home. not sure how she took it :-/ (like you say, family is important! i hope people dont think i did a bad thing).
