JRPGs have always been very directed to the "shonen" or juvenile japanese audience. That's what I like of games like Final Fantasy XII which take a different direction away of what's always been the standard of japanese rpgs...at least SE tried to steered that major franchise away from all that (shonen) anime look and themes. Hopefully FFXIII won't be a throw back to the old stereotypes and juvenile writing (I'm a little afraid just by the "acting" of some of the characters in the trailers...)
