I've come to an impasse with this genre that several hold so dear. I'm starting to believe that Japanese Role Playing Games are just animes with leveling up.
Most JRPG's seem to borrow their artstyles, themes and archetypes from the anime scene and the fanbases and values within them seem to overlap.
People watch animes for the stories and the characters and the same can be said for JRPG's.
Maybe I've detracked a bit but what I'm trying to say is.. Are modern JRPG's for anime lovers/enthusiasts etc.
Pixel Art can be fun.
