After just a few hours I'm bored from not being able to use any weapons besides electricity, not being able to drive around, not being able to jump around. etc. Also the game world isn't nearly as big as I was hoping it would be. |
My take here is, outside of the multiplayer angle, inFAMOUS is a superior game. It actually has a plot, and a whole morality angle to it. It takes off what Crackdown 1 had. In regards to weapons, inFAMOUS has equivalents to what you had in Crackdown, just electric based. The system for finding booster items is superior also.
However, inFAMOUS is NOT Crackdown. You have different power in it, so thus you don't jump like a maniac, or drive a car, but you do nasty damage with lightning. And you get to heal people also for XP. And there are submissions also.
On this note, I am VERY interested to see what Crackdown 2 will do. If it does provided a persistent city of cops vs robbers, it will be awesome in its own right.
