Are you kidding? Sonic and the Black Knight had some amazing levels after the initial tutorial/beginning levels. The gameplay was fast, involved a little puzzle solving, and was just really fun overall. I could only think as I was shooting through some of those later levels bashing enemies in my path and jumping over obstacles and the like that Sega had done a terrific job of transitioning Sonic. Sure the game's first levels sucked, boss battles were awful, and the plot was cheesy... but if you look beyond those flaws the actual Sonic game was excellent. If anything, Sega needs to take the best elements of that game and go forward with them. I know that Sega is capable of making a great Sonic game because Black Knight gave me a glimpse of what it could look like and just how much fun it can be. |
Sonic has not been Sonic for sometime on consoles. Never played The Black Knight though. Secret Rings or w/e it was I bought,hated it, and gave it away. Next time i play a console Sonic game will be when I hear lots of people enjoying it again.
