Why Sony dropped the BC ???

I'm always amazed at how unpredictable I can be to gamers.
If I go by this thread's consensus, they could never understand me nor guess what my moves would be.
I'm like completely alien to most gamers :
- I've got a HDTV, full HD (native 1920x1080 progressive)
- My first console in this generation, like most people this generation, was a Wii
- I don't love Nintendo, at all, except for the amazing quality of their product. I even despise NoE. I don't even love most of their flagship games. My preferred game from "them" by far is Fire Emblem on consoles
- Unlike most people this generation, I also recently got a PS3, with BC
- I've actually bought several PS2 games in platinum versions (RPG mostly), and will soon go for the bargain bins for the RPG I still don't have

And if I generalized every gamer on my behaviour, like some here are doing, I would come to the opposite conclusions of theirs.
To think I despise Sony's product quality, and yet I have one more console from them and one TV from them. The think I hate the most from Sony, is that they made me doubt and buy a PS3 sooner than I wanted to. Because I know I won't have time to play games on it for a while. Oh well, I still have a BluRay player.
