Can the Xbox 360 sell > 13M consoles for 2009 and crack 40M before 2010?

If Sony has only a minor price cut (IMO $50 or less) then I think that the 360 has a good shot at making it. If Sony cuts the PS3 price by $100 (highly doubtful) than no.
