| SnakeEyez said: So a friend of mine has a Xbox 360 that has the E-74 error message and he called Microsoft support to get it fixed, but since he doesn't have a receipt, they are charging him for it, so he bought a new one. He told me that his xbox 360 is a Halo 3 edition so obviously it came out in late 2007 so it should still be covered by the 3 year warranty correct? I told him that I could get it fixed and he is offering to sell it to me for 60 dollars with a wireless control. Should I do it? Would MS still repair it for free because its a Halo 3 edition Xbox (I guess he forgot to mention that to the Customer Support person) ?
Bonus: If MS does offer to repair it, would they send me back another Halo 3 edition Xbox 360 or would it be a regular Pro? I rather not have a dark green xbox if I had a choice. |
Just put the console playing a movie wraped in some towels, it will ROD in no time. Then call to Microsoft: "My 360 is RoD'd"
Case solved...
