Hmm..Started Resident evil 5..Fans tell me what have I missed?

Well it kinda hit me that Resident evil might have great story..But for my shame I haven't played 1 and 2...

I have played Res 3, Code Veronica (tho I don't remember a thing for it for some reason), Res 4 and just got Res 5..

I remember pretty clearly only 4 story.

I'm little confused about all characters but I think they might clear out near end of game..

Is Resident evil story worth cheking or is it just B horror movie like?

I don't feel like hunting CameCube to play remake and Code veronica for nothing..
