Not really. I didn't see any "really good" improvement in DP (I don't do wi-fi) other than graphics. I'm just excited for the perspective of a GS with prettier graphics and new areas to explore

Wait, did you stop playing at Red/Blue/Yellow? If you did, you missed A LOT of things buddy.

I don't know what games those two new PKMN games cover.

He stopped after Diamond.  He wasn't impressed with Ruby/Sapphire because he thinks most of the interesting pokemon are too far between.  He got Diamond out of hope and he was disappointed.

In short, he's nostalgia-striken.
