Now, to address your point about the dialog:
I think they are really cool too, but it always seemed like they tried really hard to make them cool.
It's like ghosts try to hard to be cool.

Anyway, I'm thinking about doing some dialogue revision.

then try to make them look bad at the end, not make fun of the dialog in the entire comic because you are making in scence the same joke in every frame, like the one i said with the base calling in and saying there no missiles ready, you could make a very dramatic and heroic look at the beginning and then make fun of him a the end that is what puch lines are all about.
