Given the push for HD TV now and the requirements (at least down here in Aus) for at least a digital set top box (most will get a HD TV with inbuilt tuner instead though), blu-ray is setup will to make a big push against DVD.
But I'm not sure if it'll be able to do it within 3 years, especially given that DVD's will only keep cheaper and blu-ray's slightly cheaper over time.
