| selnor said: Well walking into Game yesterday in Plymouth was good to see a PS3 say £299. However, 2 people looking at it stated it has not got good games. I didnt know these guys just listening to their conversations. Also although I own 360 I think it's wrong that the staff there are telling people that they should get wii or 360. Once I heard a staff member say to a guy that it was a pointless purchase. Thats pretty bad in my eyes. People should make their own choices! It will have some good games of there own merrit. |
well i agree with that, the staff should not be forcing their opinions onto customers (they can happily state their opinion) i heard a few stories of other staff in Game telling people not to buy a Wii though as well...though it was early 2007 they probably dont do it anymore.....I would bet they don't tell anyone not to get a 360 because that usually means more games will be bought from the store, which means more store profit.
What staff should do is advise them on the features of the consoles, particularly with the PS3 because it has changed it's features. But also with the 360 because of one models lack of hard-drive/wireless.
I would say that they also need to tell them about firmware updates because i heard a 360 owner in a gamestation asking about a game and the guy at the till was saying it might not work fully if he hadn't updated the system online, which he hadn't (am i right in thinking you have to buy certain games to update without the internet?...for instance you could buy a new game that wont work because it needs the newest update which is only on certain games.)
