I don't see why it wouldn't be localized. Namco decided to localize Eternal Sonata, afterall. Look at that game's sales:

Its NA sales will pass up the Japanese sales in the next few months.

Much like Eternal Sonata, Namco could probably expect a similar amount of sales from a North American release of Vesperia as they could from a Japanese release. Why port the game for an extra 100k in sales but not bother localizing what amounts to only half a game for a similar amount? The costs of finishing the localization (continuing where the 360 version left off) are far less than those of porting the game, I'm sure.

Oh mm, ToV on PS3 will sell WAY MORE than 100K in Japan.  I bet you that 1st day sale will exceed that number.

The reason I am concerned about the NA release of ToV is because Namco seems to be very consistent with what they "claim" on the box art.  For example, Ace Combat 6 has that "only on Xbox 360" logo on both Japan and NA box art.  And Namco refuses to release it on PS3, no matter how PS3 owners begging for it (Namco will have AC7 exclusive for PS3, but that's another story).

Another thing is, how many copies of PS3 ToV will be sold in NA?  Does it cover the cost for localization and distribution of this game?  How would gamers justify to get a $60 PS3 ToV vs. a $30 Xbox360 ToV.  Yes, the PS3 versoin will be better and has bonus contents.  But I don't think the "general" gamers in NA will care that much about it.  The culture here is very different from Japan.

Let's face it, HD RPG lovers who doesn't own a X360 like you and me are the MINORITY in NA (thanks to Microsoft for moneyhat).  The more I think about it, the more I feel ToV may not come over here.........  Snap, the worst scenario, I will get the Japan version :)

I would be surprised if it doesn't sell AT LEAST 150k day one. the only reason it *might not is because its a port, but its a port of a perfect JRPG. As for NA...I doubt it will outsell the 360 version...but it will still sell a fair bit.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
