What Sony needs to do is find a good game that they can bundle with every system they sell ala Nintendo. They can definitely have special edition bundles with big releases such as Grand Theft Auto IV, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Killzone 2, and inFAMOUS, but they really need that one game that will appeal to the majority vast market, is a 1st party IP, shows off the technical advantages of the PS3, and includes all the network features that people can expect from PS3 games such as online multiplayer, downloadable content, trophies, Home support, and possibly game launching.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is good example of a great game to bundle. It's a 1st party IP. It is still argued that it's the best looking console game currently on the market. It features trophies as well as a Home space. The only faults of bundling this game are it's T-rating which could possibly concern parents purchasing it for the family and the fact that it doesn't feature any sort of multiplayer. The sequel fixes the former game's later issue though.
In my opinion the best two games that Sony could bundle with every PS3 would be either LittleBigPlanet or Gran Turismo 5.
