Look, what's happening with LCD TVs is called commoditization. It means TVs are getting increasingly closer in quality to each other, which is why the higher-end manufacturers are cutting prices all the time (such as Samsung, Sony and Panasonic).

Unless you are really demanding with picture quality, I'd go mostly by price. Of course if you find TVs which are close in price, you should go for the better brand with the better warranty (Samsung being the best these days from what I've seen, they have a 100% pixel warranty at least in some models... which means you don't need to settle for dead pixels).

If you want the best picture quality, then you have to do a lot of research and avsforum is the place to go.
