Play it after you played a couple Suikodens and you know you love the series. Don't start the series with that game

yeah, I would say IV should be the last suikoden game to play.  Although, if you have the money, suikoden II is one of the frontrunners for best game ever made status.  Hard to find, probably cost a 100 dollars or so, but I would say it's worth it.
