That would look really slick to bring up while in-game. While it's nice to have the full xmb in-game to be able to select something like a video to play on your hard drive and have it automatically quit the game and go straight into the video, the current in-game XMB doesn't really need to display all the icons if you can't use them and it's usually slow in loading everything up (though I haven't seen 2.8 in action yet and I'm probably going to wait a while to download it).
