In order for it to be 12 million you have to assume that half to 1/3rd of the PS3 playerbase is into racing games.

I don't want to drag Forza into this, because I'm not about to de-rail this thread, but when making software predictions, you need to take into consideration the fact that very few franchises actually sell hardware, and unless your going to state that by the time its all said and done, 50 million + Ps3's are going to be saturated, 12 million is a longshot at best. Forza has a better chance of 12 million only because a) more 360's have been sold, b) Microsoft is going to bundle the hell out of it, and c) Sony fails at advertising. 

Don't get me wrong I think the game is going to be great, but don't inflate a number based on your personal preference, as hard as it sounds. 

 

 

Uhm. GT is a very popular franchise. Just like Halo to Xbox 360. Popular franchise sells regardless of userbase. MGS4 for example. A lot of people boght PS3 just for that game. Halo 3 too.
