What I hate about the PSP is mostly the directional pad and analog stick. The pad just doesn't work when playing games like Gradius where you need to move diagonally a lot (instead I have to press up/down and another direction...). It's possible to move diagonally, but man, I have to press so fricking hard that it hurts after a while. So, what I usually do I cut a round piece of cardboard, then tape it under the four pad buttons so I can move more easily! How to mod a PSP directional pad in 2 minutes! xD
Now, you might be wondering why didn't I use the analog stick? I did, and it hurts after a while because your thumb is placed in a really weird way (especially in a game where you need to use the L button)... so I prefer my solution.
I always wished that Sony would fix this obvious problem. Sadly, I doubt the PSP Go is going to be any different. This is why I didn't buy a PSP yet, so yes, ergonomically speaking, I hate the PSP.
The DS is not better though, especially when playing games like The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Unless you play on a table, your hand will cover parts of the bottom screen while you're trying to slash an enemy, and then you get hit or miss a trap or something... that sucks. :/
Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
