Well it seems that The Conduit is off to a good start. Whatever happens now one thing is for sure. HVS has made a mark in the Wii market. Reviewers both good and bad aside The Conduit is showing an initial burst success. There are of course catches. Did any retailers assume success and ordered adequate supplies? even if they didn't the demand is proving larger than the initial supply. Sega and other developers are going to be taking note that indeed there is a demand for GOOD games on the Wii. Hopefully they will learn that making a game doesn't prove success.
The initial burst may fade fast, but it's there. One thing seems certain though it's legs are going to take it pretty darn far.
I congratulate HVS for seemingly taking a risk and in the end coming out on top. We can be rest assured that the Q3 engine will be licensable and for more money per use. Hopefully developers will take a page out of HVS book and also license out the engine.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
