The ratings are misleading. It is practically pointless to compare ratings between generations. A 90% two generations ago is not comparable to a 90% today.
Perhaps you are right, but I can give you another example.
Banjo Kazooie, Tooie, Goldeney 007 and Perfect Dark where among the best games of that generation.
Would you say that about Viva Piñata, Kameo Elements of power, Starfox Adventures and Perfect Dark zero?
