Why? he's funny, he has ideals, and he's a great example of an evolving hero. Tidus is good.

Tidus was just way too... whiny?  I think that's what bothered me the most.  I could maintain respect for some of the others, but characters like Tidus and Vaan just don't really cut it for me.  I think I preferred Jecht over Tidus as a hero figure.  Before he went Sin anyways.
