How in the bloody hell can you not like Yuri? He is 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000x better then any tales main character and most main characters in jrpgs. And how can you not like the combos? Take a good look at this video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08dxBn4ZaCU

Do you not see the awesomeness in those combos? You can find that in any other tales game. And the script is great because if it was not the characters in ToV would not be so awesome. You want a bad script go to games like Magna Carta 1, Tales of Symphonia and Star Ocean 4.

Look... we disagree... that's all. And although I'm with you on SO4 and Magna Carta, I don't think anyone you'll buy a Tales expecting a novel. But, like you say, you liked the characters and therefore the script. I liked none, so I also agree with you: they must be related.

About the combos... I felt bored after 10 hours. I had never felt bored in a Tales before.

Relax... OK, I shouldn't have said it was a bad game. My mistake. I simply don't like it and, whatever formula they used, I don't want it anymore ;)

The formula is really no different then any other tales game. The only differents is that the tales formula was perfected with Tales of Vesperia. The battle system is pretty much the same as other tales games but perfected, the script still hold the focus on character interaction like any other tales game except with ToV it was perfected making the characters some of the best i've seen in a jrpg. And i feel the justice part of ToV's story was close to novel level while everything else was great but still typical jrpg fare. ToV is easily the best tales game and many would agree. May i ask whats your favorite tales game?
