| Mr Khan said: TV helps me sleep. Just have something vaguely uninteresting and non-stimulating (also non-musical) and it should help out.
Though my problems with insomnia are mostly mental. Getting too much sleep is never an issue, it's usually about when i have a song stuck in my head, or are agitated/anxious about something. |
The TV is pretty much my night light/lamp(?). But it's not really for the brightness (although seeing that faint blue glow flickering does look nice in the dead of the night), but the sounds. I usually put on CNN, and if not Comedy Central, and I feel a lot happier and alive hearing the warm conversations between pundits, the news about the world being actively told (ok, ok, they just show fucking reruns of Anderson Cooper), and for Comedy Central I hear (until it becomes REALLY late, at which point the creepy infomercials start) the laughter going on in the background which is always happy.
That's opposed to being in the pitch dark, and hearing absolutely nothing. I just think of death when I'm in that situation and I hate it. I feel like the world's shut down, and that everything's coming to an end. I need some kind of reminder that I'm still alive, the world's stilll alive, and that I'm living in a the kind of bright world that you'll only find in television.
