I'm only commenting on this because you don't understand logic..... at all.
Lets see, if someone buys a 360 and never does online gaming, they don't have to get XBL. If they only have a few game saves and don't need a hard drive, they can get a cheaper 360 and never have to worry about it.
It's called giving people a choice. They are not forced to buy the whole most expensive package when they look at buying a 360. Sure his choice of the Blu-ray drive wasn't the best since Sony couldn't really do an option without it very well, but the same applies with the hard drive and wifi.
