It stands to reason that Sony would have their own quality control methods. Sony can't assume that other companies' games are playing nice with their systems.
Take another industry example: Tire companies make tires and give them to auto manufacturers. You can bet your ass that the auto companies test the hell out of those tires to make sure they are safe.
On another topic, is anyone else here working on the plat for Prototype? I'd be interested to hear what someone else thinks. Seems a lot of the platinum event targets are far more reasonable than I expected and even doable with practice. Gonna take me a while to find out though. I fully expect to get down to one event that I just cannot do, haha.
