| Procrastinato said: Anyone notice that the Activision CEO got all mouthy, basically the day that the new PSP-3000 Rock Band Unplugged bundle came out? I think their feelings were hurt. Those mean Rock Band guys again! First they "copy" Guitar Hero (anyone remember that comment?), and now this better business dealing by the Rock Band folks too! |
Why should they care? Compared to what they make off Guitar Hero on DS, and what EA is going to get off of that Rock Band PSP game, there is no reason ffor them even to care.
Basically a whatever from Sony which is good... as long as Activision Blizzard is bluffing. More than likely they are trying to scare Sony but Sony doesn't seem to be budging. But Sony better well know this is a capitalist market and they have nothing that requires them to support them. Hell I'm sure they could get a long just fine with 360, Wii, DS, and PC and make well enough off those. But it is better business for Activision Blizzard to continue to invest in the PS3 to make sure they still have a large stake and ability to gain profits and support for their products. Sony shouldn't have much to worry about... but no time to get cocky when the biggest third party developer in the world tells you to get your shit straight.
