Why will Modern Warfare 2 supplant the original COD4? What feature upgrades

the microsoft e3 trailer reminded me of nightfire(it was scary)

but i don't think it will live up to the hype. people keep building it up. there is no way that it will make everybody happy.

it willl either change to much and people will complain or change to little and people will complain
