 That's content in the game total. Memory is for a scene at one time. There is a huge difference. For example, the GC had smaller game capacities, but had texture compression. So PS2 games could be larger (like San Andreas being very difficult to do on the GC), but it could never fit as much graphics in one scene (RE4).

With the PS3 and the 360, the former can have larger games, but any one scene would need a lot more data swapping with the Cell to fit as much data in its memory than the 360. That is not up to debate. Developers have brought it up. Again, the smaller memory can be overcome, but it is still smaller. 



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
