nascar thing is kinda tricky. GT5p have problems with 16 cars and how will it handle 43 of them(especially that there would be damage)?
in the last trailer there was only 16 cars during nascar event so i guess we won't see more which is kinda pathetic - cause it's not really a nascar race but normal race with nascar cars on nascar track. i still have no idea what for PD is making nascar races into GT if it won't be real nascar racing.

probably because nascar is all about this huge number of cars crashing into each other while Le Mans is about 24hour race - so it's ok if there will be less car, but you will have this 24hour race experience. nascar thing is great only because there is so many cars on single small track - it won't be the same experience with 16 cars. in Le Mans you race against time - so even if there is smaller amount of car it won't change much the experience. nascar is all about getting to the finish line in one piece so the number of cars on track DO matter.

Your point is in a race with nascar cars, 16 is ridiculous and at La Sarthe 8 cars is fine as you will be racing 24h against 7 other cars and that is fine.  Good.  If you really believe that then it's fine, just never buy GT or a PS3.  Just don't expect people to take you seriously though.
