I'm not sure why the PS2 is a part of the discussion. I don't believe it was included in the platforms Activision is threatening to drop.
I think the most worrying thing is, what does Microsoft do with this bit of information? Do they use this to leverage a deal with Activision over some titles? Will Activision have a more open stance to taking a deal for timed exclusivity on a big time title, or even full on exclusivity if MS puts money on the table? If MS is aggressive enough, then I can see them wrangling something away from Sony, while they are in the good graces of Activision and Sony isn't.
