Regarding the release date, there are three possibilities here...
1- They're going to rush out a few very simple games for it to release in 2010, with a development cycle of less than 1 year.
2- They have quality software on track for a spring 2010 release, but didn't show it.
3- It will come later than spring 2010.
Alternative 1 seems foolish... they need well made games to generate enthusiasm for the new controller.
Alternative 2 doesn't make much sense... E3 is not a game developers conference, it's a wide-audience conference... showing tech demos and not games goes against the spirit of the conference.
In conclusion, alternative 3 seems the most likely...
