I disagree. These comparisons tell you about how easy the consoles are to develop for, how good a job each developer has done with an multiplat title, etc. but not which is truly more powerful (something I believe is a moot point anyway for other reasons). Exclusives are, generally, the titles that really show each consoles potential more fully as they show (questions of ease of development, balancing cross-development effort, etc. removed from the equation) what the HW is capable of when fully exploited (despite all the posturing from various developers due to cost/effort considerations few, if any, multiplat titles push consoles as much as exclusives). GT, Forza, Gears, Uncharted, Killzone, Halo, etc. are, for me, the titles you look at to judge potential, not Wolverine or Red Faction or similar titles. |
Yes you are right.
But after a couple of years, if one console was better than the other, we should see a snowball effect on the general qualities of the games ... and for the moment it is pretty similar.
Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.
