I think you're reading way too much into that quote ...

He's essentially re-iterating that he will not tell you what the pricing strategy for the PS3 is. A CEO of a large company would not broadcast a price cut when it would cost him hundreds of millions of dollars being that it (essentially) convinces people to not buy a PS3 today because they will be noticeably cheaper soon.

I'll bet on a price cut before November and I'll bet that this guys shit talk wont be the reason. There is no possible way they'll make 13 million without one. They didn't make it last year and that was comming off a price cut late in the year. They know this
