They aren't going to drop the platform.
If MW2 sold same as CoD4 (and I expect it to sell more) then Activision would be literally walking away from over 4M sales. Right...
It's saber rattling because they feel the threat of giving 360 more support (which would hit hardest in US) coupled with Sony position may put enough additional pressure on Sony to encourage them to drop the price sooner rather than later.
I doubt Sony will respond (i.e. do so). In the current economy companies need all the business they can get - not less.
I also think this is more of a feint as reading the broader context I read this as more of a response to royalty levels.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
