well. It's either

A: If they don't cut the price they'll start selling like crasy which will destroy attach rates cause it'll be aliens buying the console who has no idea how to purchase games.

 

B: If they don't cut price the current userbase will stop buying games and start tearing down game stores all over the world to vent their anger towards various unrelated things.
