I understand your frustration, but getting people to not buy this title for the PS3 won't have the effect you want. It will definitely punish the developer/publisher, but the likely result is less support of PS3, not improved support of PS3.
If the dev had the resources to make the title better on the PS3, they likely would have done it.
The only scenario I can think of where a "boycott" of the product would work would be where the PS3 significant command of the market (think PS2) and not selling on the PS3 would cause the title to fail, overall. Unfortunately, the PS3 is not in that position, so the title might still succeed on the other platforms to the point where the developer feels the other platforms are "good enough".
If PS3 owners buy this title in droves, then the next PS3 title from them will likely be better as they will put extra resources on the PS3 versions because the PS3 versions "sell".
Product demand rules in this situation... if the title sells poorly on a particular platform, development for that platform might be de-emphased. If it sells well, development emphasis might be increased.
Maddening, isn't it?
