Devil May Cry 1 is vastly superior to every God of War title. You should use that game as your point of reference from now on.

In fact, God of War, as admitted by Jaffe, would have never existed in its current form, without the invention of the 3D "stylish action" subgenre, that was DMC.

Hack and Slash could be a completely different type of game than GoW. It could mean a game more like Infamous, as far as that goes. Linear, stylish, puzzle solving, combo based, orb collecting, RPG esque gameplay is NOT always "hack and slash," imo. The main genre is "action."

That's by Kojima productions too. It looked better than the GoW3 trailer any day, imo.

DMC is a great series, but in my opinion it doesn't touch God of War. Oh, and I hope your not suggesting this Hack n Slash can match God of War.

You obviously don't love God of War as much as alot of people...

I see I miscommunicated. DMC, the series, is mediocre.

DMC 1, however, invented the modern genre, and is still better than most, if not all games in it.

You should use that game as your goal posts, not the derivitive general series God of War.

That's just my opinion, and a suggestion, no offense, or flaming. GoW is a fine series, yet derivitive to DMC 1, right down to the color of the experience orbs.

Fail on my behalf, I should read more slowly :)
