ELF is a left-wing terrorist organization. I wonder though, how many right-wing organizations exist that are actually defined as a terrorist organization? Most of what we see is one-off crazies doing something stupid, as opposed to organized groups committing acts of terrorism. |
ELF is interesting for a number of reasons. They always call ahead to warn civilians of their intentions, always. But more importantly the question of rights to have their own state is heavily debatable. Like Sri Lanka's Tamils i think the history of cultural seperation and specific regional difference is reason enough to consider their worth as an independant region/state.
Terrorism is a mind fu-- bcoz of these reasons, we should all be trying to see why people do the things they do, its never simple.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
