To be fair they also help the sales of new software by bugging people to pre-order, letting them know of upcoming games, and they have locations on every corner making games easily accessible. Selling old games that aren't even being published anymore hardly hurts the industry. Selling a newer used game for $55 is bullshit but people rarely buy them anyhow.
