While you are correct that the sun will enter its red giant phase, neither b nor c will happen because of it. The problem with both of these is that the gravity the sun exerts on the Earth (or any planet) will not change-- gravity is a function of mass and distance (F= Gm1m2/r2), not size (r is the distance between the two objects centers). Also, major mistake: Gravity does NOT PUSH, it is a pulling force. When the sun expands into a red giant the mass stays the same, it is expanding because the energy being released in the core increases significatnly as heavier elements start to fuse together, and this energy caused the sun to expand outward. In other words, a red giant will not alter the gravity experienced by any of the planets in the solar system, thus Earth's orbit (or any other planets orbit) will not change.
When the sun enters its red giant phase one of two things will happen:
1) The surface of the Earth is devastated by the intense heat and energy of the sun,
2) Earth is engulfed by the sun after the surface is devastated by the intense heat and energy of the sun.
